# Tutorium > Tutorium is a United Kingdom tutoring platform that connects adult customers and learners with approved independent tutors for online one-to-one and group lessons. It also provides educational resources, an integrated live classroom, shared whiteboard and screen annotation, and Tutorium Live Quiz. Tutorium is operated by Steven Ross, sole trader trading as Tutorium, in England and Wales. Tutorium is a platform and payment-collection service; tutors provide tuition independently rather than as Tutorium employees. Public information should be taken from the canonical pages below. Private account, classroom, message, payment, and administration routes are not public sources. Bookings and prices are shown in pounds sterling. Tutors set their Tutor Fee. The adult customer pays that Tutor Fee plus a separate Tutorium Service Fee, currently 20% of the Tutor Fee, with the total shown before confirmation. Stripe processes card payments. Students can cancel without tutor approval until exactly 24 hours before the lesson start; later cancellation requests require the tutor's response. Tutorium has safeguarding, tutor-approval, privacy, complaints, acceptable-use, payment and refund processes. The public policies below are authoritative if a shorter summary conflicts with them. ## About Tutorium - [Tutorium home](https://tutorium.uk/): Overview of Tutorium's online tutoring and learning platform. - [About Tutorium](https://tutorium.uk/about): Mission, community and approach to accessible learning. - [How Tutorium works](https://tutorium.uk/how-it-works): How learners find tutors, request lessons and use the platform. - [Find a tutor](https://tutorium.uk/our-tutors): Public directory of approved tutors. - [School learners](https://tutorium.uk/school-learners-overview): Tutoring information for school-level learning. - [Adult learners](https://tutorium.uk/adult-learners-overview): Tutoring information for adult learners. - [Learning resources](https://tutorium.uk/resources): Tutorium's educational resources and interactive learning tools. ## Booking, Payments and Trust - [Payments, cancellations and refunds](https://tutorium.uk/payments-cancellations): Current pricing, payment timing, cancellation and refund rules. - [Safeguarding policy](https://tutorium.uk/safeguarding): Safeguarding responsibilities, reporting and tutor checks. - [Terms of service](https://tutorium.uk/terms-of-service): Contractual terms for using Tutorium. - [Privacy policy](https://tutorium.uk/privacy-policy): How Tutorium handles personal information. - [Acceptable use policy](https://tutorium.uk/acceptable-use): Rules for safe and appropriate platform use. - [Complaints policy](https://tutorium.uk/complaints): How to raise and escalate complaints. - [Tutor agreement](https://tutorium.uk/tutor-agreement): Terms applying to independent tutors. ## Help and Guidance - [Frequently asked questions](https://tutorium.uk/faq): Answers to common learner and tutor questions. - [Student guides](https://tutorium.uk/guides/students): Guidance for learners using Tutorium. - [Tutor handbook](https://tutorium.uk/tutor-handbook): Operational guidance for Tutorium tutors. - [Support centre](https://tutorium.uk/support): Help and support information. - [Contact Tutorium](https://tutorium.uk/contact): Official contact routes. ## Optional - [Tutorium blog](https://tutorium.uk/blog): Articles about tutoring, learning and education. - [Careers](https://tutorium.uk/careers): Opportunities associated with Tutorium. - [Cookie policy](https://tutorium.uk/cookie-policy): Information about cookies and similar technologies.
